Several zoological institutions, which comprise subunits with separate access and admission, have been also listed separately on Zootierliste (example: Berlin (Zoologischer Garten) and Berlin (Zoologischer Garten/Aquarium)). This is now changed and in accordance with the zoo list of our cooperation partner http://www.zoo-infos.de these will be treated as one institution on Zootierliste as well in the future. This also takes account of the fact that these institutions only have e.g. one EAZA membership.
Is there a real distance between two subunits (example Poznan (Stare Zoo) und Poznan (Nowe Zoo)) the separate institution entries well be kept up. This way there will be a simple and objective rule for these special cases.
If you know of any other cases, in which changes are necessary, please let us know./p>

Since there has been an increasing number of cases of inappropriate deletion of species profiles, we have been forced to restrict the authorisation for these changes to the administrators. If you think things need to be changed or delted, please contact us via the Notice Board or firstname.lastname@example.org. Thanks for your understanding

Extension to all fish species
Up to now only threatened fish species and those of a total length of at least 40 cm have been listed on Zootierliste. Now we prepared an extension to all species without further restriction.
As a first step the categories for the systematic classification have been replenished and modified.
To handle the mammoth task of adding the missing species, we will reserve a time frame until the end of August 2014, in which only the administrators will add species, of which holdings are known. From the beginning of September onwards all users can check the species added until then and report potential additional species. But please respect this period. Once a species is added, holding can of course directly be added, too.

There have been some important changes about the zooinfo. It is now divided into three sections:
1/Basisinformation (basic information): everything about the beginning or the end of the holding, breeding information, subspecific information.
2/sonstige Informationen (further information): anything else apart from what has already been mentioned among 1/
3/Quellen/Nachweise (sources/proofs): sources and proofs for the information given (visits including month of visit, literature, websites)
